Globo demite jornalista ameaçado de morte por denunciar corrupção
O jornalista James Alberti, que produziu as reportagens do Jornal Nacional sobre a operação Lava Jato, foi demitido pela RPC, afiliada da Globo no Paraná. O profissional foi desligado da emissora após voltar de uma viagem forçada ao exterior, para se proteger de ameaças de morte recebidas quando conduzia investigações sobre um escândalo envolvendo um primo do governador do Estado, Beto Richa (PSDB).
Segundo Informações do colunista Daniel Castro, do 'Notícias da TV', a emissora disse a Alberti que ele foi dispensado em uma redução de custos que eliminou o emprego de outros 15 profissionais. No entanto, a demissão causou estranheza não só pelas recentes ameaças de morte, como também pelas inevitáveis insinuações de que o corte poderia ter sido motivado por pressões políticas.
Em 2010, uma investigação de dois anos comandada pelo produtor resultou na "demissão" de 724 servidores fantasmas da Assembleia Legislativa do Paraná. Reportagem que rendeu prêmios a emissora e ao profissional.

Procurada, a assessoria de imprensa da RPC informou que a emissora não vai se manifestar sobre o assunto.
